Our founder brings exceptional leadership and multidisciplinary expertise to her role at Golgi Roots Farm. With over 25 years of experience spanning agricultural production, scientific research, and organizational leadership, she combines strategic vision with practical implementation to drive the farm's pioneering approach to sustainable mushroom cultivation. As a recognized leader in both military and civilian sectors, she has consistently developed innovative solutions to complex challenges while maintaining unwavering focus on operational excellence and quality assurance.

Her background encompasses food production oversight, scientific research management, regulatory compliance, and command leadership of large, diverse organizations. Her career began on active duty in the Army, where she served in preventive medicine and health inspection for five years — early, hands-on experience in food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards that would shape everything she built afterward.

That foundation carried directly into her civilian agricultural work, where she helped establish a dried egg powder production facility and implemented rigorous quality control systems, including HACCP protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices. From there, she moved into the medical device and consumer health sector, improving manufacturing processes and carrying new product development from research through full-scale production. Her scientific career then expanded into public health research, where she led cross-functional initiatives, developed quality management systems, and coordinated complex research programs across multiple roles.

Alongside this civilian career, her military service continued to grow in scope and responsibility. She currently holds senior command responsibility within the Army Reserve, managing large, complex organizations, building strategic partnerships, and optimizing resource allocation at scale. That background sharpens the strategic planning and operational discipline behind Golgi Roots Farm's phased growth.

Her academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Epidemiology, a Master of Arts in National Security Strategic Studies, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration — complemented by specialized training in Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Her vision for Golgi Roots Farm combines scientific rigor with sustainable agriculture practice, building a model for the future of specialty food production — one rooted in environmental stewardship, community impact, and operational excellence, with the goal of establishing Golgi Roots Farm as the premier sustainable mushroom producer in the Southeastern United States.

Not sure which of these fits what you need? That's fine — most good partnerships start with a question, not a signed order. Whether it's a standing wholesale account, a bulk order for your kitchen, or a farm that's ready to stop running on guesswork, reach out and tell us what you're working with. We'll take it from there.
